schnellfeuer wrote I doubled west's 1NT and was surprised to see north lead a spade from only a doubleton, he led my suit which did not help much as west had already indicated he had a stopper in spades by bidding NT, therefore north led into strength, not a good idea.

schnellfeuer wrote Hi Bajir, too strong for a weak two, too strong for a preempt. 1H is correct, north did respond at the 2 level showing 10 HCP. After my 3H rebid, if I held north's hand I would certainly have had a try at 4H.
tessybear wrote I am annoyed at myself as I knew better - should have bid 4 - was not thinking correctly when I bid 3 as I knew instinctively that game was there to be made. I do agree with @schnellfeuer , that had I been N I would have bid 4 But in this case I have to take the blame. GrGr

schnellfeuer wrote Hopefully partner was showing 5 spades with his bid after the double so 2S was bidding to the level of fit, ie 8 trumps. After their 3H bid, with good hearts there was a chance of another trick so I bid 3S, not expecting to make four. A reasonable trump break and good diamonds helped.
