Play Bridge Online
Play bridge online at Sky Bridge Club. You can play on your computer, phone or tablet.
Acol or Standard Bidding
Select either Acol or Standard as your bidding system.
There are hints available every time you bid. Don't overuse those hints, though! - you'll learn faster if you make your own bidding decisions. Helpful if you're really stuck.
You're playing bridge against the computer and with a computer partner so if your partner ends up being declarer then you'll still get to play the hand. Partner won't mind.
You'll be able to compare scores with other players at the end of each hand.
The featured players are those who have been doing consistently well. Checking the featured players scores helps you to know if your strategy is in line with a winning one.
Looking at the results of featured players is more helpful than looking at the top scores for all players because there's often a little luck in achieving those tops! If the long term winning players are playing a certain way then we're wise to adopt their style of play.
The * on the score sheet means your score was in that group, so you can see at a glance how you rank.
After you've finished a hand you can be replay from another seat. Your replay score will be shown but not recorded.
After each hand you play, you will see a ranking showing how your result compares to everyone else's. If your ranking is 1/100, it means that nobody scored higher than you. Just like runners running a race, players can tie for a ranking. For example, if 5 people (including you) played a hand in which 1 scored higher than you, 2 tied your score, and 1 scored lower than you, your ranking for that hand would be 2/5. It is as if you tied for 2nd place.
At the end of every day, your rankings for hands 1 through 10 are used to calculate your daily percentage (%).
To appear in the daily Ladders, you must record a score for all 10 hands. Only the first attempt playing a hand will record a score and a ranking for that hand. At the end of every day, all the daily results, rankings, and averages are finalized.
Learning and Improving
The Sky Bridge Club community is friendly and supportive. If you have a question about a hand just ask! - there's a comment section at the end of each hand.
Members are also welcome to join in the weekly livestream where a teacher plays through 10 hands.
